An advocate was hacked to death by a four-member gang in Pudukkottai town on Monday morning. Condemning the murder, advocates in Pudukkottai resorted to court boycott and road blockade on Monday.
A Kannan, 32, an advocate of Pudukkottai district court was murdered in close proximity to his residence in Machuvaadi in Pudukkottai town around 10 am when he was on his way to court on his bike. A gang that followed him intercepted and attacked him with lethal weapons and fled.
Kannan, who had married just three months back, sustained deep cuts on his body and succumbed to the injuries on the spot. Ganesh Nagar police rushed to the spot and sent the body to the Pudukottai government hospital for post-mortem.
A complaint was lodged by his Kannan’s family members, accusing Muthal, Saravanan and Selvaraj for the murder. The police registered a case and are on the lookout for the murderers. Meanwhile, on Monday evening.
